The 'Metaphor in the Curriculum' app offers a structured approach to enhance one's understanding of metaphorical constructs within the English language. Complementing this feature is the Metaphor Map of English, which illustrates the intricate metaphorical connections identified across various semantic domains. Users can navigate these links through three distinct tools: browsing, searching, or utilizing the Metaphor Map visualisation. This diverse range of presentation options—tables, metaphor cards, visual links, or timelines—enhances user engagement. Spanning over 1300 years, from the Anglo-Saxon era to contemporary times, this map allows for an insightful exploration of evolving metaphorical thought and expression throughout the history of the English language.
